2. DNA gel electrophoresis: It can be used as a nucleic acid dye in DNA gel electrophoresis to detect the size of DNA fragments.
3. Protein electrophoresis: It can also be used as a dye in protein electrophoresis for detection of protein separation and quantification.
4. Biological development: It can be used as a developer in biological imaging to detect the presence and quantification of biological molecules.
Method:
There are two main methods for preparing 3-BROMOBENZENE-1,2-DIOL:
1. Bromination reaction of nitrobenzene, and then reduction reaction to obtain 3-bromo O-aniline, and finally through oxidation reaction to obtain 3-BROMOBENZENE-1,2-DIOL.
2.3-BROMOBENZENE-1,2-DIOL was obtained by bromination of Catechol.
